Victim of shooting incident receives CPR

A man involved in the Cache creek shooting died despite CPR. The Ashcroft RCMP attended an apparent shooting incident at a house in the 1000 block of Collins Road of Cache Creek after receiving a 911 call.

Shooting ordeal

Upon the arrival of the police, they found a deceased adult male. The BC Emergency Health services stated that they responded to a call of a possible gunshot wound. A bystander assisted in performing CPR on one man, but no one was taken to a healthcare facility.

Based on the initial investigation by the RCMP, it indicated that an interaction occurred between 2 persons who knew each other. The investigators do not believe that the incident poses a direct threat to the general public.

The residents of Cache Creek were on the edge as reports circulated on social media that a possible suspect was fleeing through the town.
