Prerequisites

To be eligible for the re-certification course candidates must have completed a workplace approved standard childcare first aid re-cert or full course within the past 3 years.

Course Length

The length of the course is mandated by workplace first aid and CPR providers. It takes approximately 6 hours to complete the program.

Course Content

This course will renew all of the skills and knowledge of the full course. Candidates will cover cardiopulmonary resuscitation and automated external defibrillator techniques for adult and child victims. Participants will also cover a number of first aid topics such as shaking baby syndrome, external bleeding, spinal injuries, head injuries, environmental injuries and cardiovascular injuries to name a few.

No Pressure Policy

At Calgary First Aid our standard childcare first aid re-certification programs have a “no pressure” policy that states if you do not complete the course after attending the first time you can re-take the course at no extra cost.

Cancellations and Transfers

We do not accept transfers or refunds within 72 hours of the course. Prior to this time you can receive a full refund or transfer any other course.
