A 29-year old was declared dead after a possible targeted shooting in a parking lot of a Surrey hotel. Shots were heard at the Comfort Inn & Suites at Fraser Highway and 166 Street at around 2:30 PM.
Upon the arrival of the Mounties, they found a man inside a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds. According to witnesses, up to five gunshots were heard and they saw officers performing CPR at the scene a short time later.
It was later confirmed by the police that the man died of his injuries. IHIT shared that the victim is known to police and preliminary evidence suggests the shooting was targeted.
