Man With Gunshot Wounds Not Cooperating With Police
Police are asking the public for information after a man was discovered with gunshot wounds early Sunday morning in a northwest Calgary alley. The call came in around 5:45 a.m., when a passerby reported seeing an injured man in the 2400 block of 16th Avenue N.W.
According to police, the man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, but investigators are facing challenges. Sgt. Cory Ma stated that the victim is not cooperating with officers and has provided no details about what happened or where the shooting occurred.
“He’s not telling us anything,” Ma said, adding that police currently have no confirmed information about the circumstances of the incident.
EMS spokesman Adam Loria confirmed that paramedics responded Sunday morning, transporting a man with a suspected gunshot wound to the leg to hospital for treatment.
