A teenage male died despite resuscitation attempts from suspected drowning near Golden. According to RCMP, the death of the male does not appear to be suspicious in nature.
Possible drowning case
A 14-year old male died from a suspected drowning in a hot tub near Golden, B.C. According to the Golden-Field RCMP, the B.C. Ambulance Service responded to a report of a possible drowning at a residence just before 4 PM.
A teenage male from Toronto was transported to a healthcare facility where he was later declared dead. The Golden-Field RCMP and the B.C. Coroners Service are investigating the suspected drowning case.
Water safety
It is recommended to enroll in a first aid course so that you are prepared to handle similar emergencies in the water. One of the essential life-saving skills, specifically cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) must be carried out immediately to improve the chances of survival.
