The course includes CPR Level “C” as standard, with the option to upgrade to CPR-HCP (Basic Life Support) for those in healthcare roles. Every Standard First Aid course also provides thorough training and certification in the use of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs).

Different Types of Intermediate / Standard First Aid Courses:
Standard first aid with CPR level “C” and AED – The length of this course is 16 hours and is typically completed within two days. The cost of the course is $124.99
Standard first aid with CPR level “C” and AED and health care provider CPR (CPR “HCP”) / BLS – The length of this course is 16.5 hours and is usually completed within two days. The cost of the course is $137.99.

Course Cost:
The cost of the course is $124.99 with additional fees if you want to upgrade to Basic Life Support / CPR HCP certification.
Standard First Aid Course Content:
Standard first aid training includes training in CPR Courses in Calgary.
The following is a general overview of the course content in a OH&S approved standard / intermediate first aid course:
CPR for adult, child and infant victims.
Obstructed airway (choking) recognition and treatment for victims of all ages.
Circulatory emergency recognition and treatment. Includes heart attacks, angina and strokes.
Respiratory emergency recognition and treatment. Includes asthma, anaphylaxis, and hyperventilation.
Deadly bleeding treatment.
Soft tissue injuries.
Broken and fractured bones.
Spinal injuries.
Diabetic emergencies.
Environmental emergencies.
Sudden medical emergencies.
Certification:

Within 72 hours of the course: Refunds are not available, and transfers are subject to a $25.00 fee.
More than 72 hours before the course: You’re eligible for a full refund or a free transfer to another course date.
Rescheduled events: No refunds are available.
