Man With Gunshot Wounds Not Co-operating With Police in Northwest Calgary

Calgary police are continuing to investigate after a man was found suffering from gunshot wounds in a northwest Calgary alley early Sunday morning.

Officers were called at approximately 5:45 a.m. after a passerby reported an injured male in the 2400 block of 16th Avenue N.W. When police arrived, they located the man with injuries believed to be caused by gunfire.

Victim Taken to Hospital

According to police, the man was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Sgt. Cory Ma confirmed that the victim has not been co-operating with investigators.

“He’s not telling us anything,” Sgt. Ma said, adding that police do not yet know what happened or where the shooting occurred.

Emergency Medical Services spokesperson Adam Loria stated that an ambulance responded to the area Sunday morning and transported the man to hospital with a suspected gunshot wound to the leg.Investigation Ongoing

At this time, no suspects have been identified, and police say the investigation remains ongoing as they continue to search for information related to the incident.
