As a possible shooting ordeal, a man sustained a gunshot wound to the head. The man with the gunshot wound to the head was dropped off at the Sheldon Chumir Health Centre. The man was later identified as 22-year old Itgel Baatarsuren of Calgary.
Shooting ordeal
The police stated that the man who dropped off Baatarsuren at the health center fled in a white Pontiac G5. The victim was rushed to Foothills Hospital. Sadly, the man was declared dead.
The police continue to look for witnesses who saw the vehicle in the area of the 900 block of 26th Street N.E. between 7 PM and 9 PM. The investigators presume that the shooting incident occurred in a parking lot in the area just before 9 PM.
When the victim was dropped off at the health center, police found what they believe was the same vehicle on 17th Avenue S.W. A man who was taken into custody for questioning was released on Tuesday.
