A man who was stabbed after a random dispute on a transit bus passed away. The 42-year old was stabbed during an incident on a Coast Mountain bus near No. 3 and Cambie roads.

Stabbing incident

The man was not identified publicly. He was rushed to a healthcare facility but succumbed to his injuries.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team confirmed the death of the man in a statement that was released. An investigation is still ongoing but it seems that the incident started as a random argument that escalated to a physical fight.

Several people called 911. In a video posted on social media, it showed paramedics performing CPR on the victim in the doorway of the bus. There is limited information on what actually happened, but the IHIT stated that a 22-year old man from Richmond was arrested.
