Free Community CPR Workshop (Non-Certifying) — Calgary

Following a recent tragedy in British Columbia that brought Canadians together in an extraordinary display of compassion and willingness to help, we are offering a free, non-certifying CPR workshop in Calgary through the end of February.

Our goal is simple: to empower more people with essential life-saving skills and the confidence to act in an emergency.

This workshop focuses on practical CPR knowledge — not certification cards. Participants will leave better prepared to help until professional responders arrive.


Course Overview

Duration: Approximately 4 hours
Cost: Free (registration required)
Certification: Non-certifying (community workshop, not a formal certification course)
Format: In-person, instructor-led, hands-on

  • Anyone who wants to be more prepared

No previous first aid experience required.


What You’ll Learn

This free workshop introduces participants to:

  • Recognizing a medical emergency
  • When and how to call 911
  • Adult hands-only CPR basics
  • How to use an AED (defibrillator)
  • Safety considerations for helpers
  • What to do until EMS arrives

Note: This is an introductory, non-certifying workshop and does not meet workplace or program certification requirements.
