Calgary First Aid is proud to offer Alberta OH&S-approved Emergency First Aid courses, also known as Basic First Aid. This one-day course includes CPR Level “C” training, with the option to upgrade to Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training is also included as part of the standard curriculum.

Different types of Emergency First Aid Courses & Prices:

• Emergency / Basic first aid co-delivered with CPR level “C” – This is a 8 hour course that costs $94.99.
• Emergency / Basic first aid with CPR level “C” with the co-pairing of CPR “HCP” / BLS  – This is a 8.5 hour course that costs $104.99.

Course Content:

The following is a general outline of the first aid situations that candidates will learn to recognize and treat in a OH&S approved basic first aid and CPR course:

• Unconscious breathing or non-breathing victims.
• Obstructed airway (choking) for conscious and unconscious victims.
• Respiratory emergencies such as asthma, hyperventilation and anaphylaxis.
• Circulatory emergencies such as heart attacks, angina, T.I.A’s, and strokes.
• Deadly Bleeding.
• Broken bones and fractures.

Workplace Certification:

To earn certification, participants must successfully complete both the skills component and a multiple-choice exam, achieving a minimum score of 75%. Upon passing, candidates will receive an Emergency/Basic First Aid and CPR certificate, valid for three years. Certification in the use of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) is also included.

Private Courses:

Registering for a Workplace-Approved Emergency First Aid and CPR course is simple. Choose your preferred date, time, and location from the options below. No Pressure Policy:

We recognize that everyone learns at their own pace. If you don’t successfully complete the course on your first attempt, you’re welcome to retake the course at no additional cost.

Refunds and Cancellations:

Refunds and cancellations are not accepted within 72 hours of the course start time. Transfers requested within this 72-hour window will incur a $25.00 fee. If requested more than 72 hours before the course, candidates are eligible for a full refund or can transfer to another course without any additional fee. Please note that no refunds are provided for rescheduled events.
