Deadly ATV crash resulted in the death of man

A 32-year-old man passed away in an ATV collision in Antigonish. According to the police, they responded to a motor vehicular collision at the roundabout on Beech Hill Road at around 12:45 PM.

According to the Antigonish RCMP in a news release, the driver of the ATV lost control of the vehicle as it entered the roundabout and was ejected from the vehicle.

The police shared that witnesses performed CPR on the driver until EHS arrived and took over the resuscitative efforts. The man, who was not wearing a helmet, was transported to a hospital via EHS and was declared dead shortly after 2 PM.

The area was close to traffic for several hours after the collision while an RCMP collision analyst examined the scene.
