CPR performed on pedestrian after struck by a truck

A collision incident involved a pedestrian who died despite an attempt on delivering CPR. The incident occurred near Marlee Avenue and Lawrence Avenue.

A male pedestrian died of injuries in a healthcare facility after hit by a large truck in Toronto’s northwest.

Vehicular accident

The emergency crews were called to the scene. The intersection is near Allen Road and the Lawrence Square Shopping Centre. The Toronto paramedics initiated CPR and rushed the 40-year old man to a healthcare facility via an emergency run with assistance from the police. Sadly, the man succumbed to his injuries.

According to Const. David Hopkinson, spokesperson for the Toronto Police Service, the injuries of the man were too severe. The driver of the truck that struck the pedestrian failed to remain at the scene. The driver was located by police and cooperating.
