A Quiet Night Turns Deadly

According to witnesses, several people had been playing billiards inside the bar moments before the shooting. One man stepped outside for a cigarette when gunshots suddenly rang out.

Officers arrived to find a man lying on the sidewalk with multiple gunshot wounds and no vital signs. A Duty Inspector confirmed that police immediately performed CPR in an attempt to revive him, but their efforts were unsuccessful. The victim was rushed to a hospital trauma centre, where he was later pronounced dead.

Victim Identified as 29-Year-Old Toronto Man

On Saturday, police identified the deceased as Thomas Michael Alcott, 29, of Toronto. His death has prompted a full homicide investigation, and detectives are urging the public to help provide any information that could assist the case.

Police Seeking Multiple Suspects and Witnesses

Homicide detectives say they are looking to speak with several “possible” witnesses captured on video near the scene. Investigators are also searching for up to three males wearing dark clothing who were seen fleeing in a car immediately after the shooting.
