A child ends up with injuries after shots fired at house

A 5-year old child was wounded after several gunshots were fired at a house in northern Saskatchewan. The RCMP were called to a home on the Lac La Ronge Indian Band reserve.

Shooting incident

According to the officers, a bullet went through the wall of a house and hit a child inside. There were other people inside the house but they did not sustain any injuries.

The child was transported to a healthcare facility with a serious but non-life-threatening injury that required emergency first aid.

According to RCMP, the suspects of the shooting incident left the scene and the officers continue to investigate.
