Calgary First Aid is proud to offer workplace-approved Healthcare Provider (HCP) CPR courses, also known as Basic Life Support (BLS). This is the most advanced and comprehensive CPR course available, specifically designed for professionals in the healthcare industry, including doctors, nurses, medical students, dentists, and other healthcare practitioners.

Throughout this course, participants will develop enhanced CPR skills, including the use of a bag-valve mask (BVM) and coordinating with trained backup in emergency situations. Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training and certification are also included.

Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR HCP Course Length

The length of this course is 6 hours. It is normally completed within one day.

Course Cost

The cost of this course is $74.99.

Course Content:

Candidates registered in this course will learn to treat victims of the following emergencies:

• Unconscious breathing adult, child and infant victims.
• Unconscious non-breathing with pulse adult, child and infant victims.
• Unconscious non-breathing with no circulation, adult, child and infant victims.
• Conscious and unconscious obstructed airway (choking) adult, child and infant victims.
• Victims in cardiac arrest.
• Victims having circulatory emergencies including heart attacks, angina and strokes.

No Pressure:

At Calgary First Aid we understand that people learn through a variety of different methods and in a variety of different speeds. If you do not complete the course the first time you are eligible to re-take the course at no extra cost.

Private Courses:

Refunds and Cancellations:

Refunds and cancellations are not accepted within 72 hours of the initial course. Transfers are charged 25 dollars within 72 hours of the course. Prior to 72 hours candidates can receive a full refund from any CPR HCP course. There are no refunds for rescheduled events.
