Young Woman Dies After Being Pulled From Winnipeg River in Lac du Bonnet: A Reminder of CPR’s Lifesaving Role
A heartbreaking incident in Lac du Bonnet has left the community mourning after a 23-year-old woman died despite immediate CPR efforts from bystanders.
What Happened
According to RCMP, officers were called to a home on McArthur Avenue around 5:45 p.m. on Sunday. When they arrived, several people were already performing CPR on the woman after she was pulled from the nearby Winnipeg River.
Despite their quick response, she was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been released.
The RCMP and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner continue to investigate, and an autopsy will determine the exact cause of death.
