An 80-year old man was reported missing while fishing on the weekend. The police in Prince Edward Island are investigating the drowning incident.

Jack Miller from Crapaud was on a 2-day trout fishing trip on St. Charles Pond near Souris. When he did not show up at a friend’s cabin, a search was started.
According to the police, Miller’s body and the capsized boat were recovered from the pond. Around 2 dozen members of the search-and-rescue crew started inspecting the area around the pool. In addition, 12 firefighters from nearby communities were also sent out in boats.
Miller’s boat motor was discovered a few hours later. A helicopter from CFB Greenwood in Nova Scotia was called in to search the area and found his overturned boat on the far side of the pond. His body was found nearby and he was not wearing a life jacket. Miller’s body was transported to a healthcare facility in Charlottetown.
