Toddler drowns at pool party given CPR

A drowning incident involving a 3-year old was given CPR. Sadly, the child died at a pool party in east Toronto. The incident occurred on Dallimore Circle near Eglington Avenue East and Don Mills Road.

Watery ordeal

A uniformed officer was the first responder on the scene and CPR was immediately performed on the child.

Although cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) will not always save a life, executing the life-saving technique can help improve the chances of survival.

According to the police, the child was transported to Toronto East General Hospital. It remains unclear whether the parents of the child were also present at the pool party at the time of the incident.

The police added that a homicide squad has been notified but the death of the child is not considered suspicious in nature.
