What types of first aid courses do you offer?
We offer the following courses:
- Standard / Intermediate First Aid – a two day course
- Emergency / Basic First Aid – a one day course that includes CPR and AED Training
- Standard Childcare First Aid – a two day course catered towards childcare / daycare providers that includes CPR and AED Training
- CPR level A – a basic CPR and AED course with no first aid certification
- CPR level C – a more comprehensive CPR and AED course with no first aid certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – a advanced and comprehensive CPR course for health care providers
- Recertification – courses that help previously certified participants renew expiring first aid and CPR certificates.
- Food Safety Certification – designed for individuals that need provincially approved certification
- Mask Fit Testing – a short test to learn about masks and determine whether the fit meets requirements
- Fall Protection – a half day course to learn about safety at heights
- Confined Space Entry – a half day course to learn about safely entering confined spaces
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) – a half day course designed to teach participants about safely transporting dangerous materials.
Are your courses approved by Alberta OH&S?
- Yes, both of our standard and emergency first aid courses meet Alberta OH&S requirements
How do I register for a course?
To register for a course select the course you require from the menu above. Select the date, time and location from the options located on the bottom of that page. Complete the registration form including your name, address, phone number and CPR option (if applicable). Complete payment to guarantee a spot in the course.

We have 3 training centres in Calgary:

💳 Payment & Certification
Do I get a certificate after completing the course?
Yes, you receive your CSA approved certificate immediately upon successful completion of the course. It is valid throughout Canada for up to 3 years.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We strive to be as flexible as possible by accepting all credit cards including AMEX, Mastercard and Visa. We also accept e-transfers, PayPal and on some occasion cash payments.
Do you offer group, school, or corporate training?
Yes, we proudly offer group, school and corporate training at heavily discounted prices. Visit our private course request page to inquire about group, private and corporate rates.
How long is my certification valid?
The majority of our certificates are valid for 3 years, however, some courses such as BLS provide certification that is valid for only 1 year.
Do you provide re-certification courses?
Yes, we offer first aid and CPR re-certification courses for individuals looking to renew awards. Ensure that you meet the prerequisites posted on that page prior to registering to ensure you meet the requirements.

Who are your instructors?
Our instructors are highly experienced, OH&S-approved educators certified through St. Mark James Training. They undergo the most rigorous and comprehensive instructor training available in Alberta, along with mandatory St Mark James Training yearly updates to stay current. We recognize the importance of having skilled, knowledgeable instructors, which is why we’re committed to delivering the highest quality first aid training in Calgary.

How Long Has Calgary First Aid been in Operation?
We have proudly been serving Canada and the Calgary region since 2010. We believe our experience is what makes us a leader in first aid and CPR training in Alberta and Canada.
Do you offer blended (online/in-person) courses?
Yes, a number of our courses are offered in blended format. Check each course to learn more about our blended options.
What happens if I miss part of the course?
Our courses have a hands on training that requires 100% attendance. If you arrive late to a course you will have to reschedule for another day.
📅 Scheduling & Policies
What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?
- Within 72 hours of the course: Refunds are not available, and transfers are subject to a $25.00 fee.
- More than 72 hours before the course: You’re eligible for a full refund or a free transfer to another course date.
- Rescheduled events: No refunds are available.
Are courses available on weekends or evenings?
Yes, we do offer some evening courses and all of our locations offer weekend training.
Are your courses suitable for parents or new caregivers?
Yes – especially CPR-C or Emergency Childcare First Aid

Our courses are provided mainly in English but our written test are available in:
